Is success possible without failure?
The key to success is embracing failure. Failure is the gateway to tacit knowledge that brings about grand success and triumph.

Clik here to view.Without failure you won’t have the opportunity to learn critical life lessons such as tacit knowledge. Tacit information is subtle, quiet and often invisible. It’s the kind of understanding that is difficult to transfer from one person to another and it’s not written down in any textbook. It’s an ability you acquire through trial and error.
An example of tacit knowledge is riding a bike. While you can share tips on good bike riding, you can’t teach someone to stay up on the bike; they must learn on their own through trial and error.
A lot of people think they need to know everything before they try something new. They don’t realize that big success can only come after failure. They don’t understand that success can only come through real experience. Think about your first experience riding a bike. See what I mean?
Failure is nothing more than an opportunity to gain tacit knowledge and real experience.
If at first you don’t succeed, try, try, try again…
Here is some coaching advice to help you try, try, try again.
- Process of elimination. Next time you’re faced with too many choices to choose from and are afraid of making a mistake, just pick one, any one. If you make the wrong choice don’t worry about it, you will gain tacit knowledge and will know what not to pick next time.
- Trust yourself. It’s just a switch that you have the power to turn on. Turn it on and believe in your Self. Believe that you’re intelligent enough to figure it out. Ask yourself, “What can I learn from trusting myself and by making mistakes?”
- Life Coaching can be beneficial if making mistakes is overwhelming. A coach can help you develop self-compassion and unconditional self-love. That way, when a mistake happens (and you know that it invariably will) you’ll go easy on yourself and realize that without failure there is no success.
Avoiding failure is like walking away from a treasure chest. There really is no success without failure. Failure is the key to gaining critical knowledge that yields sustainable success. So next time you fall off the bike, get back up on your feet and back on it. Work through the failure it will enhance your know-how and you will achieve grand success.
