Wow… A new year is upon us. Time sure does fly by the older you get. I can remember writing about 2011 and everything I wanted to accomplish. Did I accomplish everything I set I would in 2011… I’ll tell you shortly.

What really stands out at me from 2011 is how I diverted my attention to what I thought was important and did things that took me off the path that I was on and put me on a new path. Was it the right move for me and my career or was it an impulsive move with no strategy behind it?

A life coach’s journey was created so that I can blog about my journey as a life coach and self awareness along with other relevant topics related to depression, anxiety, phobia, and self limiting behaviour stopping you from going after the things that make you happy and give you fulfillment. In May of 2011, I discovered the benefits of using twitter and how to create a community. That discovery led to a new life coaching website and a weekly discussion on #AskTheCoach – a twitter chat. To produce a weekly show with experts and content takes a bit of time to execute properly. It took up so much of my time it took me a way from blogging about my journey. Week after week new blogs were posted here but none of them were about my journey. They were all related to the topics on #AskTheCoach.

This year I promised I’d pickup and continue blogging about my journey into enlightenment. There is value writing about it and sharing it with readers because a journey is full of mistakes and learning lessons, and sharing those with readers can serve as inspiration. Nobody is perfect — I am definitely not perfect.. far from it. What I am is an adventurous person who gets an adrenaline rush by taking chances and doing things that scare the begeebers out of me. Such as being in front of a television camera. If you’ve been following my blog over the years you would know one of my fears is being in front of a camera. I swear the control room can hear my heart beating a mile a minute when I’m on LIVE television.. but I still do it. Why you may ask, because I can’t and won’t let fear rule my life. I’d be a bad life coach if I did. So there is a good reason for me to come back and to share my journey with you and hope you get inspired and try some of the things that represent fear in your life.

Last year I said i’d finish writing my book come hell or high-water. I did it. I finished writing the book in November. Its all done and ready for publishing. And that’s the goal this year.. getting published and seeing five years of work on a bookshelf in bookstores. Am I afraid of it not happening and getting rejections letters from publishers.. Sure, its only natural to but i’m not letting it stop me.

Another goal set in 2011 was the launch of my workshop. It didn’t happen, what did happen is the creation of the workbook. It would have been impossible to launch a workshop without a workbook. Now the workbook is finished so I am launching my workshop series in March of 2012. Stay tuned to learn more about it.

Also happening this year, another television show. That’s right, another one of my goals this year is to produce an inspiring television show to bring back happiness into homes across North America, and hopefully internationally. Let’s see what I end up accomplishing by the end of this year.

So, did I accomplish everything I set out to do in 2011? Yes, I did almost everything. The goals I did not accomplish don’t lead to my ultimate goal – The grand vision of where I want to be in 10 years from now. The goals I did accomplish that were not on my list of goals such as twitter and #AskTheCoach, they should have been on the list because those tools will help in the future to promote my upcoming book – What’s Stopping You – 3 Steps to Your Full Potential, plus it’s a skill I can teach to entrepreneurs.

So now I want to hear from you. What did you say you were going to accomplish last year and did you do it? If you didn’t do it tell me why.. was it fear, did you run out of time, or were you unfocused?
